An updated version of the greatest guitar pedal ever made during the greatest era of music ….Or at least the most INFAMOUS on both accounts!
Dimarzio made the Very Metal * for a very short time in the late 80’s and it's a really cool and unique one of a kind version of the Pro Co RaT circuit that is not currently available. (even the JHS Pack Rat) Special thank you to my favorite YouTube show and Pedal company JHS for introducing us :) The Very Metal is VERY AWESOME however VERY expensive & VERY rare !I loved it so much I made it EVEN BETTER! This Version has the original circuit, but I added an LED, Standard In/Out Jack placement, Standard Boss style DC jack & Socket for the dual Op Amp.
The HaiR Metal uses a dual op amp in lieu of the RAT style single op amp and JFET output stage. The IC socket will allow you to try different dual op amps. (My fav alt is used)
The Rat style Filter control is replaced by a Tone control wired like in your guitar sending higher frequencies to ground.
A Unique feature is the minimal Distortion setup like a famous “Nashville Rat Mod”
You get the ability to overdrive at very low gain for a “Smoother” Rat sound than in a standard RaT style circuit. …Its Awesome!
High quality Wima film & Nichicon Fine Gold electro caps (while avail) used with a custom designed pcb with Mask Audio Electronics. Heavy duty stomp switch with true bypass.
Can be powered by internal 9V battery or standard 9vDC wall wart Boss style center negative.
